I have only heard this phrase about a million times, mostly when my friends are referring to my apartment I live in due to my food allergies. Going into college I couldn't help but wish I got to live in a freshman dorm with a roommate. Now though, I realize they are right. I am so lucky to live on my own and have the freedom to cook whatever I want. The truth is food allergies sometimes make things more difficult but they make us realize the more important things in life like the beauty of a breath, the power of family and true friends. Although food allergies are a pain sometimes, it is important to look for the silver lining!
